Brisbane Airport pick up and drop off zones
All terminals in Brisbane offer public parking, as well as drop off and pick up bays. You cannot park anywhere that isn’t specifically signed.
For the international terminal, the public pick-up area is on the level two arrivals road at the front of the terminal. To drop off passengers, there is a departures section at the front of level four.

For the domestic terminal, there is a public pick-up and drop-off section directly out the front of the terminal. There is also a public waiting area adjacent to the P2 long-term parking area. The first thirty minutes of waiting in this area are free.

The Best Western is located in Ascot. It’s a little further away than the other hotels, taking roughly 10 minutes to reach from the airport. The hotel has a 4-star rating, and offers free WiFi, a kitchen in the room, a delicious free breakfast buffet, and a restaurant and bar. It also has an outdoor pool if you fancy going for a swim, including a spa.

Brisbane has some cracking restaurants that are perfect for schmoozing clients, or just grabbing a bite to eat. Here are some of its best.

Black Hide Steakhouse
Owned by the award-winning Gambaro family, Black Hide Steakhouse is a mouth-watering 5-star restaurant that serves some of the best steak you’ll ever eat. The decor is beautiful and the service sublime, so it’s definitely best to dress up for the occasion.

The restaurant is located in Paddington, just five-minute walk from the CBD. It’s also in the heart of Caxton Street, one of the city’s best areas for eating and drinking.

The Glass Brasserie is an upscale modern Australian restaurant, with affordable prices. They serve wagyu burgers, shish kebabs, quesadillas and more, all with a complimentary drink. It’s also located centrally, making it easy to get to.

Punjabi Palace
Punjabi Palace is one of the best Indian restaurants in Brisbane, serving authentic meals from the Punjab. The spice levels are a little on the tame side, so if you want something really authentic, ask for “Indian-level spice” and brace yourself.

The restaurant is located in South Brisbane, about a ten minute walk from the city.

Taros
If you’re into Japanese ramen, Taros is the place for you. Their ramen is to die for—100% authentic, and less than $20 a bowl. They also serve plenty of other Japanese food. It’s definitely a more casual restaurant, so if you’re looking to impress a client, you might want to choose somewhere else.

The restaurant is also located in South Brisbane, just a ten minute walk from the city.

11 million tourists flock to South Bank every year, and it’s easy to see why. The area is covered with gorgeous parklands, with sprawling pines, cycads, purple bougainvillea canopies, and grassy areas for chilling. It also has an expansive lagoon with an infinity drop, tons of public barbecues, and is backed by tens of restaurants and bars that are buzzing with life.

South Bank is the perfect place for a business meeting, lunch with friends, or just to relax by yourself.

The Story Bridge is the longest cantilever bridge in Australia—a formidable mesh of steel that dazzles with colour in the evening. It connects the perimeter of the city with the suburb of Kangaroo Point, which has cliffs that are a great tourist attraction in themselves, offering superb views of the city across the river.

If you’re a thrill seeker, the Story Bridge Climb will see you clambering up its steel arches, with a 74 metre drop on either side when you reach the top.

The City Botanic Gardens might be considered the jewel of Brisbane. They’re so beautiful and varied that the Queensland Heritage Register describes them as the “most significant non-Aboriginal cultural landscape in Queensland.” The gardens are filled with plants of every kind—palms, figs, macadamias, jacarandas and more, and the air is filled with the sound of ducks, moorhen, lapwings, lorikeets, and honking ibises, creating a natural splendour that is the perfect place to chill with a coffee.

Brisbane’s biggest stadium plays host to some of the city’s most exciting events, and is a great way to unwind. You can watch the Broncos blitz their way to a touchdown, the Reds charge headfirst into a scrum, or the Roar send a free kick whistling into the back of the net, in the comfort of one of the stadium’s 52,500 seats, with beer in hand.
